06FAQ

Good questions

Anything else? Email info@oite.com.

What should I wear?

Fitted sportswear you do not mind getting muddy, and running or trail shoes with good grip. Avoid loose clothing, jewellery and anything that can snag on a net. A cap and sunglasses help while you wait for your wave.

What should I bring?

Your registration QR code (saved in the OOC app, which works offline), photo ID, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, a towel and a full change of clothes for after the race.

What is the minimum age?

16 for the Open and Team categories, 18 for Elite and Corporate. Runners aged 16 or 17 need the consent of a parent or guardian at registration.

Can I skip an obstacle?

In Open, yes: you can skip an obstacle and take a time penalty. In Elite, every obstacle must be completed. Marshals have the final say at every obstacle, and you should always skip anything you do not feel safe attempting.

How do teams work?

Team entries are 3 to 5 runners aged 16 and over. Corporate entries are teams of 4 or more from the same organisation, aged 18 and over, paid by invoice, with the option to race in company branding. Teams start together and finish together.

How do I get to Bidiya?

Bidiya is in North Al Sharqiyah, on the edge of the Sharqiya Sands, about a 2.5 hour drive from Muscat. The exact venue location is shared with registered runners before race day.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds and transfers are handled per the policy published at registration.
